What's new in Pancake 3.6?

Hey there Pancakers! Since our last bug patch, we've been working hard to fix and improve areas of Pancake which our users have got in touch with us about. We have to say thanks to the many of you who contacted us with awesome bug reports and ideas for future improvements. We've resolved almost 500 support requests and hundreds more live chats and tweets since update 3.5.9.

I'd to briefly cover a couple of things we've changed in Pancake 3.6 which should make your lives a little easier.

Now 100% themeable

Previously, the files needed to edit the HTML for sections of Pancake such as the dashboard were located in the core folders. This meant it was difficult to edit them without having first to back them up and replace with every update. We have now moved those 'view' files into the third_party folder, so you can customize the look and feel of your Pancake theme more than ever before.

What does this mean for theme designers? You can now change any part of the Pancake interface to match the look and feel of your brand, including HTML, CSS and Javascript. Want to make a responsive layout? Go right ahead!

New default currencies

Using PayPal's list of supported currencies, we have added more default currencies than ever before. From Mexico to Taiwan, Denmark to New Zealand, Pancake is all about making invoicing clients easy, wherever you are. Those new currencies are the New Zealand Dollar, Czech Koruna, Danish Krone, Hungarian Forint, Israeli New Sheqel, Japanese Yen, Mexican Peso, Norwegian Krone, Polish Zloty, Singapore Dollar, Swedish Krona, Swiss Franc, Taiwan New Dollar & Thai Baht. For a full list of supported currencies, visit PayPal.

Invoicing improvements

Billing your clients is the beating heart of Pancake. With a few tweaks and adjustments, we've made it even easier to collect your hard-earned dues. Project task notes now auto-populate as line items, you can upload more file types or edit allowed file types in settings, and set default due dates for invoices.

Switching to Pancake is a breeze

We like to make sure you don't have to start from scratch when using Pancake for the first time. If you were using other invoicing software before Pancake, export the files from there and head to the Import tab under Settings. Pancake will try and import invoices, clients and time entries from more places than ever - with eight new sources in this update alone.
