Version 1.1 Released!

Version 1.1 was made possible due to community feedback.  You spoke, and we listened.  A few people were confused about the difference between a “Payment Request” and an “Invoice.”  To that end, we have renamed “Payment Request” to “Simple Invoice.”  Basically, now everything is considered an invoice.  Here are the differences between a “Simple” and “Detailed” invoice:

Simple: A simple invoice contains no line items or tax.  You enter the total amount due, and that’s it.  It is simply a “You owe me $50” type of invoice.

Detailed: A detailed invoice allows you to add multiple line items with quantities, taxes and separate rates.

Also included in this release is the ability to have UNLIMITED tax rates.  This means you can specify as many tax rates as you wish, and use any of them on any line item of any invoice.  This is nice when your tax laws require different tax rates for things like Services and Deliverables.

The last (but certainty not least) of the “major” items in the new version is Invoice RSS feeds.  This allows you to use an RSS feed to track your Paid, Unpaid and Overdue invoices from your favorite RSS reader.  You can customize the number of results via our “Feed Generator” on the “Feeds” tab in the “Settings” screen.  No more having to visit the admin area every time you want to see those Overdue invoices!

Here are some of the other small (but nice) changes as well:
